Daytona General Information
Daytona Beach is located directly on the Atlantic Ocean and is famous for being the original Spring Break destination. There are 23 miles of wide clean beaches, a great surf and hotel rooms with a view. If you're looking for an inexpensive, no-hassle Spring Break in the good ol' USA, then Daytona is the place for you. Fly in or drive in, this destination is easy to get to. Although optional airfare is available, most students that venture to Daytona elect to "ROAD TRIP". There's something to be said when a bunch of your friends jump into a car and drive all night down I-95 listening to your favorite tunes.
During the day, the beach is one big parking lot. Cars are allowed to drive on the beach and many cruise up and down looking to see and be seen. Alcohol isn't legally allowed on the beach, but there are plenty of beach bars and hotel pool decks that are beachfront. Every day you can find a few party hotels and bars that are packed with a party crowd, drink specials and crazy contests. At night the action shifts from the beach behind the hotels to the strip in front of the hotels. The main strip is Atlantic Ave. and anyone looking for action will have no problem finding it here. Daytona Beach features world class nightclubs such as 600 North, Razzles, the Ocean Deck, Baja Beach Club, and Fat Tuesday all offering you great music and non-stop nightlife. Daytona's close proximity to Orlando theme parks like Walt Disney World, EPCOT, MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, Wet 'n Wild, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Sea World really add a little variety to your Daytona Spring Break vacation!
